Creative Hub - Facebook Releases Its New Tool for Social Media Influencers

Social media giant Facebook now wishes to convert the mindless passive hours of watching videos into “time well spent” and is focusing on tools that can help create quality video content. Recently Facebook launched the updated Facebook Mentions app in a new package called Creator Hub app for helping video creators, celebrities, and social media influencers. With this new tool and its features, this can be claimed as Facebook’s answer to the very vibrant Google's YouTube platform.

The Creative Hub will give social media celebs and social media influencers a powerful tool using which they can connect and foster communities.  Facebook wants to build a platform or a hub for creators where they can publish not just new videos but also track the performance of their content in the form of analytic reports. Facebook has described it as "a one stop shop for creators of all kinds, to help take their passions to the next level. With the app, creators can easily create original video, go live with exclusive features, and connect with their community on Facebook — all from their pocket,”

Earlier this app was known as Facebook Mentions, and was used by verified profiles and social media influencers, but the new rebranded package is named as Facebook Creative Hub. This new app includes some exclusive features that complement the work of internet content creators and social media influencers.

The most interesting feature of Creative Hub is its Live Creative Kit. It will help content creators by giving them many more options to personalize their live broadcast. Facebook is betting big on the live broadcast feature and this tool will give a boost to that. This kit will also help them in branding their live videos by adding proper intros and closing notes to their live broadcast. A content creator can also insert a customized frame that can appear during live broadcasts. It also allows inserting interactive stickers and animations that fans and viewers can use. To project itself as a true counterpart of the YouTube community, the Facebook Creator app also boasts of a community tab. The community tab will collate all the messages from Facebook’s various channels like Instagram, Messenger and Facebook and bring it on to one single inbox.

Like the very popular Pages Manager, the Creator Hub app will also feature a tab for insights and analytics that will help page admins and creators regularly monitor metrics to know what works and what doesn’t work for the page.

Currently, this app is available only on iOS and will be rolled out for Android in the coming months.
